related products marketing.
The course is engaging with
interesting ‘learning and
application’ modules. Group
work is an intrinsic part of the
learning experience –
beginning from the first year
which provides for a
substantial support structure
for peer group learning, to
the second year in which
learning and teaching
strategies enable students
constructively to critique
their own individual research
work.
The course is modular with core learning domains such as Fashion Marketing,
Strategic Fashion Marketing, Market Research and Fashion Business Management.
They are taught with the aim to provide the students with a holistic learning, through
a process driven blend of theoretical and practical hands-on experience. This
prepares them to function, strategize and render services to the fashion and lifestyle
industry. During the course, students are provided with the opportunity of a live
experience through industry interaction, internship and live projects to learn better
professional practices. The development of students with a holistic perspective of
the fashion industry from concept to consumer and quality assurance through
internal and external examiners helps enhance their learning and prepares them for a
global profession.
The future prospects of Fashion Marketing are not just restricted to marketing of
apparels but also new sectors such as Event Management, PR, Luxury Hotels and
many more. Fashion Marketing students are placed with renowned brands such as
Satya Paul, Mango, Levis, Wills Lifestyle, Fab India. Some of the students have also
started working as entrepreneurs and consultants in the fields of lifestyle and related
products.
SYNTHESIS
At this forum, students display their final research projects to the business
community in a highly professional setting. Recipients of 'Innovative Research
awards', 'Outstanding Research Award' and 'Practical Research Award' make
formal presentations and address queries raised by industry members.
