The four-year Fashion Media Communication programme will emphasise on communicating fashion through all media formats such as journalism (print, electronic or new media), events and promotions (public relations & advertising). The programme will hone creativity, innovation and judgement along with intellectual acumen to formulate, develop and communicate conceptual arguments rooted in a holistic perspective of the fashion promotion context. The course will train fashion professionals who will develop creative and efficient communication concepts.
The students will study Elements and Principles of Fashion Design, Fashion Value Chain from idea to retail, Product Categories, Fashion Weeks, e-Fashion Retail and Trend Forecast to visualize and plan for execution of ideas and concepts for promoting fashion and lifestyle brands. Editing and writing for different formats such as print, broadcast and digital, is also a core element of this course.
The students will then take it to a higher, complex and sophisticated stage of understanding through live projects, often sponsored by industry, and, therefore, coming to terms with reality of the world in the learning space. A student will understand the secrets of a successful fashion event, from the layout of ideas to a detailed plan from practitioners.
